جامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية تستكمل خطوات إعداد الخطة الاستراتيجية للفترة 2026-2030م

تستكمل جامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية، ممثلة بلجنة تقييم ومراجعة الخطة الاستراتيجية، خطواتها الفعلية نحو إعداد الخطة الاستراتيجية للجامعة للفترة (2026–2030). وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن الجهود المؤسسية الرامية إلى تعزيز ممارسات التخطيط الاستراتيجي المبني على الأدلة والمشاركة المجتمعية، وتطوير الأداء المؤسسي.

وفي هذا الإطار، عقدت اللجنة اجتماعا تنسيقي بمقر فرع الجامعة بنزوى، لاطلاع الحضور على مراحل إعداد الخطة وآليات تنفيذها، بمشاركة عدد من الجهات الأكاديمية والمساندة والإدارية داخل الجامعة. وشهد الاجتماع حضورًا لعدد من المسؤولين، من بينهم رؤساء أقسام ضمان الجودة، رؤساء أقسام التعليم المستمر وخدمة المجتمع، رؤساء مراكز شؤون الطلبة ورؤساء مراكز التدريب والتوجيه الوظيفي وطلبة المجالس الاستشارية بفروع الجامعة، بالإضافة إلى أعضاء لجنة مراجعة وتقييم الخطة الاستراتيجية بالجامعة.

ركزت مناقشات الاجتماع على عدة محاور رئيسية، من أهمها: استعراض مراحل وخطوات إعداد الخطة الاستراتيجية، وآليات جمع وتحليل البيانات، وتحديد الفجوات المؤسسية، والورش التي عقدها خلال المراحل المختلفة إلى جانب أهمية الشراكة المجتمعية في تطوير خطة الجامعة المستقبلية. كما تم تعريف الحضور على أدوارهم في دعم المشاركة في أخذ التغذية الراجعة من مجتمع الجامعة الداخلي والخارجي والآليات المعتمدة لأخذها والمدة الزمنية المخطط لها. كما تم التأكيد على ضرورة إشراك مختلف فئات أصحاب المصلحة الداخليين والخارجيين في عملية المشاركة والتغذية الراجعة لضمان الشمولية والتكامل في مخرجات الخطة كما تم فتح المجال لاستقبال أسئلة وإضافات الحضور للعمل على توظيفها العملي في مراحل التخطيط.

وتسعى جامعة التقنية والعلوم التطبيقية من خلال هذه الخطة إلى تحقيق نقلة نوعية في مختلف مجالاتها الأكاديمية والبحثية والمجتمعية، بما يضمن الاستدامة والتميز المؤسسي. كما تؤكد الجامعة على أهمية التخطيط المبني على المشاركة والبيانات، في ظل بيئة أكاديمية تنافسية تتطلب التطوير المستمر والمواءمة مع المتغيرات المحلية والعالمية.

UTAS Continues Progress in Developing Strategic Plan for 2026–2030

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), through its Strategic Plan Review and Evaluation Committee, is continuing its practical steps toward preparing the university’s Strategic Plan for the period 2026–2030. This initiative comes as part of the university's institutional efforts to strengthen evidence-based strategic planning, community engagement, and continuous institutional development.

As part of this endeavor, the committee held a coordination meeting at the university’s Nizwa branch to present the stages of the strategic plan and its implementation mechanisms. The meeting witnessed the participation of various academic, administrative, and support units across the university.

In attendance were a number of key university stakeholders, including Heads of Quality Assurance Departments, Heads of Continuing Education and Community Service, Heads of Student Affairs Centers, Heads of Training and Career Guidance Centers, student representatives from branch advisory councils, and members of the Strategic Plan Review and Evaluation Committee.

The meeting discussions focused on several key themes, including: an overview of the phases and steps involved in the development of the strategic plan, mechanisms for data collection and analysis, the identification of institutional gaps, and the workshops conducted during the various planning stages. In addition, the importance of community partnership in shaping the university’s future strategic direction was emphasized.

Attendees were also introduced to their roles in supporting the feedback collection process from both internal and external university stakeholders. The adopted mechanisms for collecting feedback, along with the planned timeline, were explained in detail. The meeting further stressed the importance of involving all stakeholder groups in the participation and feedback process to ensure inclusiveness and integration in the plan’s outcomes.

The floor was opened for questions, suggestions, and comments from participants, with a focus on incorporating their input meaningfully in the next phases of the planning process.

Through this strategic plan, UTAS aims to achieve a significant transformation across its academic, research, and community engagement dimensions — ensuring sustainability and institutional excellence. The university reaffirms its commitment to participatory, data-driven planning in an increasingly competitive academic landscape that demands continuous development and alignment with local and global dynamics.
